Rachel Surratt, MA, LPCC

Areas of Interest/Specialty: Anxiety, trauma, racial identity, attachment, grief and loss, life transitions, women’s issues

Introduction: I utilize several aspects of my training as a clinical counselor to provide a holistic, explorative approach to well-being and self-actualization. These aspects include radical empathy & acceptance, unconditional positive regard, and commitment to self.

I believe that while individuality has its place, it is not the only place we should turn to for healing. I believe in collective care in the therapy space, and I am not here to assume where and when help is needed but to help give you the tools to identify, ask for, and provide your own support in all aspects of your life.

I have a specific passion and focus on providing healing within the Black/African American community. I am a mental health advocate for clients and non-clients alike and believe in striving for personal insight and exploration of the self.

Education: Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in Clinical Counseling Psychology
